We can sometimes forget the intimate gestures–the small nod, the silent caress, the initiation of desire–that help to maintain connections in our lives. In “The Beginning of Something”  acts of kindness, big dancey phrases, and little narrative inclinations mingle. Together, the dancers accumulate movement, gestures, repetition. We hear bells toll; we hear a French love song.
